Our Values
WE ARE PASSIONATE - We’re passionate about our relationship with Christ, what he is doing in our lives and in the lives of the people in our church and our community. We’re passionate about The Bible, Prayer, Worship and Ministry to God and people. We passionately continue to grow in our Christian faith through Bible Study, Prayer, Worship, encountering the Holy Spirit, Ministry and Service.
WE WORK HARD - We value excellence and do our best. We believe God uses our hard work to make a difference in the lives of others around us.
WE TRUST - We do whatever it takes to accomplish the vision and goals God has set before us. Trusting God and each other, even if it falls outside our comfort zone.
WE UNIFY - We choose a culture of peace by getting along, showing respect, and presuming the best of each other. We support one another and compassionately deal with differences.
WE PUT PEOPLE FIRST - We choose to invest in the potential God has placed in others. People aren’t a distraction but the reason we do what we do. We provide ministries to build people up and encourage them on their Christian journey. We purposely reach out to our community with the hope we all carry.
WE ALL PARTICIPATE – Everyone has a calling and a ministry. We encourage everyone, no matter what age or ability to participate in the local church and community.
WE TALK AND TELL AND INVITE - We take every opportunity to talk and tell others about Jesus and what he has done for us. We invite friends to journey with us as we gather as a church community.
WE ARE FUTURE-ORIENTED - We actively pursue God’s next for ourselves and for our Church. We purposely invest into the next generation, allowing them to be active participants in our church community.
VWA is an autonomous church affiliate with a fellowship of churches known as the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Our desire is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbor as we do ourselves. We are committed to going to our world with the message of Jesus Christ.
